Bunbury Community Closet The Bunbury Community Closet is an event for local people to buy and sell preloved clothing. When we couldn't find one, we decided to create one.

We are Leanne and Chantal and we started this event 2 years ago because we had a wardrobe of amazing quality clothing that we no longer wore and because op shops were not taking donations then (thanks to Covid) were looking for an event where we could have a stall and sell them. Our first one had just 10 stalls and was a huge hit. We sold most of our clothes but people kept asking when the next on

e was. Since then, the event has grown into the South West's BIGGEST pop-up preloved clothing market, attracting up to 50 stallholders and more than 500 shoppers through the door at each one. They are held several times a year. We even picked up the City of Bunbury's Community event of the Year at this year's Australia Day Awards.

OK, blimey, that was a big wait list! Just to clear up the date (apologies for the ballsup on the ticket site) it's SUNDAY JUNE 21st.

If you have received an email saying your date is in Sept, please IGNORE it, as you HAVE reserved for June 21. I held my mouth the wrong way when I was putting in the info.

Everyone on the wait list should have their links now. If yours hasn't arrived it's either on it's way or in your spam. Please shoot us a PM if it doesn't arrive.

The next Bunbury Community Closet will be SUNDAY, June 21 at the South West Sports Centre.

✅ We are creating the event and stallholders link this week and everyone who has commented “waitlist” under our posts or sent us a message will get a private link invitation on Wednesday (April 8th) and a 24 hour head start 🏁 before the event and stall bookings go live on social media. Invitations will be sent in order of when people added themselves to the waitlist.

❗️NOTE: getting the link does NOT guarantee you a stall, it’s simply gives you a first heads up. First in first served.

We’re giving you this advance notice because most of our stall spaces sell out within 48 hours so you can keep an eye on your messages if you’ve commented “waitlist” on any of our posts.

Hi everyone, thank you so much for your patience. We hope to be announcing our next event within the next couple of weeks and will be aiming for mid April.

Everyone who has commented on our posts asking to be added to the waiting list will be notified first before we make it publicly available here.

Super excited to fine tune and announce soon.

The Bunbury Community Closet is on the hunt for a new venue. We’ve contacted a couple of potential rippers but haven’t heard back, so we’re throwing it open.

If you are affiliated with a large venue that would be a wonderful home for our next event, we’d love you to make a suggestion below and even tag the venue so they can drop us a line if they’re keen to have us.

We generally attract about 700-900 people and need a floor space equal to or larger than the Italian Club.

We will take it further afield eventually, but for now we’re looking for a space in the Bunbury region.

What a day! 🙌🏻😍🥳👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
We had an impressive 792 adults come through the doors at today’s Bunbury Community Closet – not counting kids or sellers!

Huge shoutout to our incredible stallholders who once again delivered the goods (literally). The quality and variety was next level!

We lost track of how many people left with armfuls of clothes, stashed their haul in the car… and came back for round two (or three or four). The bargains were just too good to resist 😍

Equally massive thanks to SAFE Bunbury for making their legendary sausage sizzles and bacon and egg sarnies, and to the super friendly folks from Morning Motivator Coffee Van for keeping us caffeinated.

No date yet for the next event, but keep your eyes on our Bunbury Community Closet page for all the updates. We hope to have the next date announced by the end of July.
