As another week starts, we have a few things to unpack. Firstly, Happy September...
Spring is here and with it comes the opportunity to refresh, declutter, and toss out what doesn't bring us joy.
The days get warmer and longer, the flowers bloom and everything just feels better. It's my favourite time of the year.
This is your reminder that, if you have been taking part in our Winter Reading Challenge, it's time to get your entries in. I will be drawing it on Saturday 5th September.
Also we have a beautiful art exhibition opening on Saturday, more details this evening. I'm super excited for this one.
Lastly, I have boxes and boxes of Aussie country romance books instore to sell for a lovely customer. Think Fleur McDonald, Karley Lane, amongst others. There is also Peter Watt, and so many more. These books will be set up on a table and will be $5 each, cash only. These are in excellent condition, so come and check them out. Why not enjoy a coffee and scone while your browsing ?

A massive thank you to Craig from Bundy Beatz for supplying the PA system for the upcoming Bundaberg Writers Festival.
Craig is a wonderful advocate of the Bundaberg Community, and is always supporting local.

I was MIA today, and I would love to thank Kellie Williams for holding down the fort for me.
There were two reasons for taking today off .
The first was to visit my Mum in Hervey Bay, and the second was to support my dear friend and phenomenal local artist Larissa Dobrowski, as she launched some of her work at Hervey Bay Art Gallery.
It was a beautiful exhibition, and it was certainly fabulous to catch up with two people I love dearly.

Last night we had the pleasure of hosting local Author J A Garth.
Jess talked about all things dark romance, her books and held a very different paint and sip.
Guests could either paint her cover or her characters.
It was a lovely night, with lots of laughs and fabulous company.
Jess has also done a lot to get the upcoming Bundaberg Writers Festival happening, so it was lovely to see her hard work rewarded with a very special gift from fellow local author Trevor.
Thank you everyone for coming along. I hope you enjoyed the evening as much as i did.
Jess will have a table at the Bundaberg Writers Festival on Saturday 17th October and will have copies of her books for sale.

It takes a lot to leave me speechless, but last night I was...
The Book Boutique hosted The Zonta Club of Bundaberg last night , and believe me when I say, this beautiful group of ladies are making a huge difference to the lives of women both locally and internationally.
The reason I was speechless? I was clueless. The work these ladies do helps women in domestic violence situations, women who have had premature babies, women overseas who are pregnant and need birthing kits.
Delicate and deeply personal situations. Yet the ladies don't shout it from the rooftops , they gently straighten the crown of the women needing help silently and with absolute dignity .
