I wanted to create something a little different for our local families. 💛
The Neurodivergent Playdate is a FREE, relaxed playdate for neurodivergent children and children with developmental differences aged 3–10 years, and their families.
I know that traditional playgroups and activities don’t always feel like the right fit for every child or every family. They can sometimes feel busy or overwhelming, or come with expectations around how children should play, join in or interact.
So I wanted to create a space where those expectations simply aren’t there.
A place where your child can run, move, explore, watch from the sidelines, play alongside other children, take a break, get messy, spend ages doing the same thing, or move from one thing to another.
There’ll be lots to explore, with activities and toys chosen with neurodivergent kiddos in mind. Your child can follow their interests, move between activities, watch from the sidelines or simply play their own way. No pressure. No expectations.
And while the kids play their way, parents and carers can have a break, meet other families and hopefully find a little bit of their own community too.
Come for ten minutes or stay for the whole playdate. Join in as much or as little as feels right for your family.
