I absolutely love showing off what my quilting can do! 🧵✨

Sheree contacted me to quilt some beautiful fabric for her, with plans to turn the finished pieces into bags.

The quilting turned out SO good that when she received them back… she didn’t want to cut them up! 😂💕

Honestly, I’ll take that as the ultimate compliment.

There’s just something so satisfying about seeing beautiful fabric transformed with quilting — even when it makes the next step a little harder! 😉

This beauty is 115" square. A monster. Beautifully made. It has been sitting in Sue's cupboard for a while. She took it to another longarm quilter where it was untouched for 3 months.
Sue contacted me about it, I said sure I can do it. I pieced the back for her. Made the binding and attached it.
Sue now has a quilt she can use.

I honestly feel so lucky to do what I do.

Every quilt that comes into my studio has a story, and I love being trusted to add the final quilting that brings each one to life.

This time it's a beautiful Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt. As I work on it, I can't help but think about the countless hours spent hand stitching every single hexagon. It's a real labour of love, and being part of the final chapter of its journey is something I never take for granted.

Thank you to everyone who entrusts me with your handmade treasures. It truly is a privilege. ❤️🪡🌸

I do not get many 'firsts' any more. But this lovely quilt had been finished for awhile and its owner just couldn't put the lace on. That's where I come in. I have never done this before but I'm up for it.
Adding lace to a finished trimmed quilt is a small challenge. I'll add the finished product when I'm done.
