Time to retire.
We have sold Elliott's Bookshop to Tiff who is a book lover and people person. She has been working in the shop for the past month and our regulars really appreciate her.

The sweetest little lady came in last week. She is in her nineties and came with her carer. Do you have any Christian books? Me: Not really. What were you looking for? She said I'm cramming for my finals. I'd like to be sure to go to the right place. 🌈🥰

We reopen tomorrow at 9am and will be back to normal. Happy New Year to everyone. All the broken bones and hospital visits will be over by then.

3 and a half days to go. The 50% sale ends Saturday noon.

Day 1 of our 50% off sale. We still traded in 10 more books than we sold. We've got nearly 40,000 books to clear but today is looking better already. The first shelves to show big gaps are J D Robb and the recently published books. Usually we sell them for $12 each reduces them to $6 for the latest. "Spare" went for $3.50.

We are overstocked so to clear some space books will be 50% off for a few weeks.
Other book shops can ring to discuss wholesale prices.

Rules:
1. All trade-in credits will be applied to the full price first and then the discount applied.
2. Only exclusions are cowboy comics and commando comics which are still 50 cent swaps.

After a holiday break we are back in the shop at our normal hours. 9-4 Monday to Friday and 9-12 Saturday.
No-one has bought the shop yet so we will settle in for the long haul until it sells. Meanwhile the 50%-off sale went over very well. Tomorrow, Thursday 5th January, is our last day with that discount. Friday will return to normal prices.
