Just look at what a few delicate basil flowers can do for a dessert! 💜

The beautiful purple blooms are such a gorgeous contrast against these vibrant strawberries, adding colour, texture and a little touch of the garden to this delicious creation.

And they’re not just pretty… basil flowers are edible, with that familiar fresh basil flavour adding another layer of interest to every bite.

Fresh herbs and edible flowers can turn a beautiful dessert into something that really catches your eye — and makes you want to grab a fork! 😍

This one certainly has me feeling like it’s time for dessert… 🍓🍰

Why not take a little drive to Bongaree, Bribie Island and make a morning of it?

Start with a delicious breakfast, brunch or coffee at Annie Lane Cafe ☕️🧇— one of our lovely Basilea Farm customers, where our fresh herbs and edible flowers make their way from our farm into their beautiful creations. 🌿🌸

Open 7am–2pm Sundays, there’s plenty of delicious food and tempting beverages to choose from.

Then, take a leisurely stroll along the Bongaree waterfront, soak up the sunshine and enjoy a little Sunday escape. 🌊☀️

Sometimes the best plans are simply good food, fresh air and somewhere beautiful to wander. 💚

When your flowers make it onto a cake like THIS… 🌸😍

Spotted my Crucifix Orchids, grown and hand-picked here at Basilea Farm, adding their little touch of magic to this beautiful creation by Wild Canary Bistro at Brookfield (West Brisbane)

This is exactly why I love growing edible flowers for chefs — beautiful colour, interesting texture, delicate detail and, of course, flavour. 🌿🌸

And the attention to detail from Wild Canary is something to admire. Every element is considered, with a focus on quality ingredients and supporting locally grown produce. 💚

Good morning from Basilea Farm! 🧡🌼

Our beautiful Calendula are up and waiting patiently for the sun to arrive… because these little beauties know when it’s time to put on a show! 🌞

Calendula flowers are fascinating — their blooms open up in the sunshine, revealing those gorgeous golden-orange petals. And they’re not just pretty… they’re edible too! 🌼✨

The petals have a subtle peppery flavour and add a gorgeous splash of colour to salads, desserts and all sorts of culinary creations. They’re also a wonderful flower for attracting pollinating insects into the garden. 🐝🌿

These beauties were grown right here at Basilea Farm 🌞🧡

🌿 I picked up this magnificent Scented Geranium, ‘Scarlet Pet’, from JA'S Herb Nursery at the Queensland Garden Show — and I’m completely intrigued by its scent ~ gently rubbing the leaves I can smell freshly-picked vegetables.... CARROTS ? 👃🏽🥕🤔

❤️ When it flowers, it will produce many beautiful clusters of these bright scarlet-red blooms

Did you know there are many different varieties of scented geraniums, with crushed leaves that can smell like rose, lemon, peppermint and so much more
