Imagine hearing the words ‘Your child has cancer’ ☽

Heartbreakingly, this is something 3 families will hear every day. It’s something you never think you’ll hear and I have no doubt these families thought the same.

If you’ve been blessed with not having cancer affect a loved one, you may not know a lot about it, here’s some facts:

🌟 More children die of cancer than any other disease.
🌟 99% of survivors have chronical health issues.
🌟 𝟮𝟬% 𝗼𝗳 𝗸𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗴𝗻𝗼𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝘃𝗶𝘃𝗲

Children’s cancer is not like adult cancer, however due to lack of research and funding, kids receive the same treatment as a adult. The level of chemotherapy that a child endures would be enough to give a adult a heart attack, but as they’re young & their heart are stronger - they take it. For families, watching their baby go through a harsh & traumatising time, it is a heartbreaking journey.

For those that know me, know that my amazing Dad lost his battle to cancer in 2009. Watching him in constant pain, sickness & fighting hard was something that no loved one should be put through & I can’t even begin to imagine watching my child do the same.

So, as a Parent, Aunty, Uncle, Grandparent, Godparent, Brother, Sister... I ask you, if this was a child in your life and you had the opportunity to give them a second chance - would you do anything possible? 💛

Help me this month, fight against childhood cancer & raise much needed funds for The Kids Cancer Project. Let me know how you’d love to help 💫

Hi beautiful people! I want to introduce myself so you can put a face to the name you’ll be seeing a bit over the next 7 days!

I’m Kristy and I’m so incredibly lucky to be apart of a blended family with my amazingly supportive partner and our 5 beautiful children, the youngest our 6 month daughter Kaylee. I have joined Lorraine Lea to help find that balance in life and having the flexibility of being there to watch my children grow, run them around to swimming & gymnastics, school events etc all while having my own awesome little business and a incredible income.

When I’m not filling your homes with our gorgeous collection of linen, I am teaching others’ beautiful kids learn to swim. I absolutely love that Lorraine Lea is giving me the opportunity to do both of what I love as being fully online I am able to go to work (because we all need that time away sometimes) and also being there when my babies need me.

I am so proud of myself for taking the leap outside of my comfort zone and being determined to build my little business into a empire. But I wouldn’t be doing it alone, each and every one of you is helping me get there, whether it’s a share of my page/name, placing a order or coming to party with me.
