Dolly Parton legacy will live on in millions of little hands holding books 💗📚

Founded in 1995, her Imagination Library provides children with one carefully selected book every month, at no cost, from birth until they turn five. The program is designed to support early literacy, encourage a love of reading, and give every child the opportunity to build their own home library from their very first years.

Since launching in Australia in 2013, the program has delivered 2 million books to Australian children and more than 325 million books worldwide.

As booksellers, we’re so grateful for the generations of readers Dolly has helped inspire.

Rest easy, Dolly. 🌸

They say rest is a good book, but we took it a bit too literally this week!

Apologies for the radio silence while the whole crew recovered from being sick.

We are back on our feet, the doors are open today, and we can’t wait to see you this weekend.

A rare opportunity to own a bookshop by the sea!! BrunsBooks is looking for a new owner. The time has come for us to move on to our next chapter, and we are looking for the perfect person to write the next page. For over five years, our brick-and-mortar shop on Fingal Street has stood as a cozy sanctuary for book lovers in Brunswick Heads and beyond. We are offering BrunsBooks as a fully operational business. This is a turnkey opportunity to step straight into a beautifully curated, established space in an awesome community.

There’s something undeniably special about a used book.
Long before it found its way onto our shelves, it belonged to someone else. It was read on quiet afternoons, packed into suitcases, gifted with love, or revisited time and time again. And every now and then, a little piece of that story is left behind.

Here’s some of the treasures we’ve discovered over the years. They’re tiny glimpses into lives we’ll never know, and a reminder that books don’t just tell stories, they collect them too. 📖🤎
