Registrations are now open for the Cairns South Together Child & Youth Market!

This is an amazing opportunity for young people to experience the excitement of running a market stall in a child-friendly and supportive environment. The market encourages children and young people under 18 to have a go, learn valuable life skills, build confidence, and connect with other like-minded young entrepreneurs.

I’m so excited to announce our next Paint Party!

This time, Art for Everyone is heading to Café 63 Raintrees for a lovely evening of painting, chatting and creating together!

We’ll be creating this beautiful floral painting, “Love Blooms Here.” No experience is needed — I’ll guide you step by step, and all art materials are supplied.

Come along, enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, grab something delicious to eat or drink from Café 63, and spend the evening creating something beautiful.

Hello Friends
We are giving you the first opportunity to book into our Plastic Fantastic activity coming up these holidays. We are trialing using a QR code for bookings. Here is the code for the morning session held at the 7th Day Adventist Church, 10 am -12pm. We will share the link for the afternoon session 2pm-4pm at Hambledon House soon. Thanks for your support.

Dogs on the Move!

Creating the illusion of movement as our furry passengers enjoy a drive!

The kids chose a dog to draw peeking out of the car window, then brought their artwork to life with watercolour paint.

A simple, fun activity with some fantastic results!

Paint & Chat – Honey the Highland Cow

What a wonderful group of people came together on the 30th of July for our Paint & Chat!

We painted, laughed, chatted, enjoyed a bite to eat, made new friends and caught up with old ones. It was lovely to see everyone relaxing, connecting and having fun together.

And, of course, everyone went home with their very own Honey the Highland Cow masterpiece!

Thank you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon so enjoyable. We had such a great time and look forward to doing it again!

Our First Art Class for Term 3!

What a great way to start the term! I absolutely loved this activity from the moment I first saw it, and I think the kids loved creating it just as much as I did.

It was wonderful watching everyone put their own ideas and personality into their artwork. So much creativity, fun and chatter as we got back together for our first class of Term 3.

I think this one might be a favourite!

Calling all homeschool families in Cairns South!
We’re launching a FREE Youth Voice Project for ages 12–16, and your young creators are invited!
Over three weeks, participants will team up with local author Lachlann Carter to explore what life in their community feels like — their ideas, their hopes, their stories.
Their creations will sit alongside stories, poems and artwork from children participating in this project at two Cairns south schools, all coming together in a book to be launched later this year.
This isn’t just a creative project — their voices will help shape future Communities for Children programs.
✨ Details:
For children aged 12 to 16
3 sessions, 1.5 hours each (must attend all 3 sessions). See flyer for dates and times.
Must live in Cairns south (Earlville to Gordonvale including Little Mulgrave, Goldsborough Valley and East Trinity)
Parents attend too (let us know if you need to be in the room or if you are happy to join us in our courtyard for tea or coffee and a chat)
Interactive, imaginative, and fun
Free to join but bookings essential. Places are limited.
Held at Hambledon House Community Centre, 177 Bruce Highway Edmonton
