80g ‘Skwiz’ Rigged Jigs

Skwiz Jigs: The Skwiz jig gets its name due to its highly frantic action. Sporting a combination of erratic fluttering, twirling and darting on both the rise and fall. Perfectly mimicking a skittish fleeing bait fish. Due to their wild action, we have found a combination of slow pitching to a more aggressive rod action to be very effective in enticing the fish to chew hard on the Skwiz. With a flat streamline bottom weighted profile, they have a medium fall speed and work most effectively in low to medium current conditions. Up here in the north we have found Skwiz jigs to work an absolute treat at rousing up shutdown bottom dwelling species such as reds, nannys and trout as well as pelagic species on a faster retrieve. Being such a versatile jig, the Skwiz is a must have to any jig collection. These have been rigged with our 5/0 Overkill assist hooks and lumo octo skirts. These assist hooks are built tough with broad gauge wire and large barbs, set up for large trophy fish and ready for those big pelagics that like to whack these jigs on the way up. A very popular jig amongst anglers using slow pitch and deep drop techniques.

80g ‘Wingman’ Rigged Jigs

Wingman Jigs: Our Wingman style jigs perform a very erratic flutter mixed with gliding action. Mimicking a fleeing squid or injured baitfish. Due to their flat, winged profile they have a slow fall speed allowing them to hang in the feeding zone for longer. The quintessential slow pitch jig to pull out in low - medium current situations. They are also highly luminescent with contrasting glow stripes, great for working up those big fish down deep. These have been rigged with our 5/0 Overkill assist hooks and lumo octo skirts. These assist hooks are built tough with broad gauge wire and large barbs, set up for large trophy fish and ready for those big pelagics that like to whack these jigs on the way up. A very popular jig amongst anglers using slow pitch and deep drop techniques.

3 pack of 200g ‘Snot Glider’ Rigged Jigs

Glider Jigs: The Glider range of jigs get their name due to their easy to work technique. Simply cast out or drop straight down, free spool your reel and allow these jigs to glide, naturally producing a back and forth gliding to thumping wobble action on the fall. To work a target water depth, crank up 10-20m above where the fish are stacked, free spool back down always at the ready to re-engage your spool as these jigs always get whacked on the fall. These can be worked in no to high current conditions due to their free spool technique. With their larger size, full body glow and natural action Glider jigs are very efficient at rousing up those larger trophy sized fish stacked deep in the water column.

Flutter Jigs: Our Flutter style jigs provide a tight highly erratic fluttering action on the fall. Mimicking an injured bait fish. This is due to their weight biased deep keel profile. They have a medium fall speed and work most effectively in low to medium current conditions. We have found slow pitching to be the best technique in working Flutter jigs to their maximum potential, however a faster vertical jigging technique with more aggressive rod flicks can prove lethal when targeting frenzying fish in faster current. Up here in the north we have found Flutter jigs to be particularly popular for targeting bottom dwelling species such as reds, nannys and trout.
