What's up at Warhammer Cairns this week?

That Defiler is nearly done along with some more Havocs.
Commissar Graves' epic transport is being built and we still have some of the new free Ork miniatures of the month left for you to come in and build.

Saturday sees the second week of our flying gaming activities at 10am for youngbloods and newcomers then 2pm for the grizzled and battle hardened among us. This week there is a warp-induced vortex in the centre of the table that is going to be heavily affecting our movement!

Today we have the new free miniature of the month, the Ork Boy, ready for you to come in and build.

We also have a new Hobby Challenge for everyone to take part in!

You get to try your hand at creating a duel between two models. We have two base size categories, anything up to and including a 100mm base and then anything larger than that. So yes, if you wanted to have an Imperial Knight vs an Ork Stompa, you totally can!

As with all the Hobby Challenges, if you don't know how to do it, pop into the store and we'll help you out.

What's happening in our store this week? What Warhammer are you doing?

We have an Iron Warriors Defiler being built, some Iron Hands Dreadnoughts and Dark Angels Vanguard Veterans being painted and a few other bits and bobs.

Gaming-wise, join us on Saturday at 10am for the brand new players and youngbloods gaming activity and 2pm for the more advanced battle.

This week we are taking to the skies with units that have the FLY keyword! So up to 300 points of things like, Vanguard Veterans, jetbikes, Hammerhead Gunships and Stormravens. Not to mention, those shiny new Landspeeders !

Make sure you pop in at 2pm today for the Last Hero Standing game.

You need two Warhammer 40000 infantry characters, no more than 200 points total.

Or you can just use some of the store's models, you don't even need to know how to play, we can show you how.

Join us at 10am and 2pm today for Saturday Gaming, this weekend it's a Hero Bash!

You can bring or borrow two Warhammer 40000 characters to a limit of 200 points and do battle against the other (obviously inferior) heroes to see who will emerge victorious!

Don't forget, it doesn't matter if you don't know how to play, we can show you as we go. You can even just come along and watch!

What types of wonderful Warhammer are you working on this week?

In store we have some entries for the current Hobby Challenge, both a Storm Lord and a warrior from the Marines Malevolent.

If you'd like to join in, pop into the store, grab your free Infernus Marine and paint him up in the colours of a Space Marine chapter that is currently active on Armageddon!

We have our first completed entry for the current Hobby Challenge, an Angel Eradicant!

If you would like to join in, you just need to paint up a single space marine in the colours of one of the many chapters currently active on Armageddon. We have a really nice book with all of them in it here at the store for your perusal.

We can even provide you with a free infernus marine and some painting help to get you going!

Entries need to be in before Wednesday the 15th.
