Argh! There's a spanner in the works!

It looks like a serious case of adulting has descended on Angelby Creative, and the Bearded One and I won't be spending much time in the workshop for the next couple of months. Boo!

Don't you hate it when adult responsibilities get in the way of the creative fun stuff?!

This means we won't be out and about at markets and possibly not making/posting much, but don't fear, we will be back on deck before the end of the year (can't miss the Fairy Festival!).

A Dark Deed occurred in amongst the happenings at Dark M**o last night. The Bearded One and I tied the knot!

Thanks to Mem for taking on our tiny celebration and turning it into the most amzing event!

Hidden amongst the revelry in Hobart, not only did we have our own tiny celebration beautifully arranged and officiated by the amazing Mem, she also organised a tintype portrait photograph by Silver Studios.

There were cocktails, and fancy foods, and art, and laughter, (and more cocktails) and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to commemorate our special day.

And thanks to the team from Everwood for being accomplices in our mischievous adventures!

As any person who has ever used a sewing machine can attest too, at some point you are going to break a needle. Well I did in the leather sewing machine and I felt so proud of myself by pulling off the covers and finding the missing tip just chilling in the base cover. Woohoo!

That feeling of triumph was short lived when I put everything back in its rightful place and the wheel wouldn't move more than a few millimetres and the bobbin mechanism sounded crunchy.

I could have cried, in fact I think I did, thinking I had broken something.

Tonight the Bearded One spent quite some time actually pulling apart the bobbin area with all its teeny, tiny screws and found ANOTHER needle tip!

So the needle tip I found could have been a historical tip from many moons ago, while the one I actually broke was jamming up the machine.

Funny how something so small can put a spanner (needle tip) in the works!

Re-watching Good Omens and making roses.

While slapping on dye to the leather I realised it's a bit like colouring in but you don't have to worry about painting outside the lines, because when you pop out the pieces the edges are prefect!

After dyeing, sewing, moulding and sealing, I've just got to figure out how they go together now...
