Was great to be back in the Long Room of Parliament House Hobart this week... what a view it has from those fabulous old windows! Thank you to the National Trust of Tasmania for the opportunity of sharing our bookshop's heritage journey at Foxhunters Return, Campbell Town.

We're open this long weekend if you're heading Campbell Town way...

Plenty happening over the Long Weekend right around Tassie so no matter if heading north or south you can drop into The Book Cellar to break your journey and enjoy some pleasant book browsing and buying as well as a hot or cold drink. We're open daily including the Monday Public Holiday 10am to 4pm.

UPDATE 6 March 2026... emails mostly working, apart from yahoo email addresses apparently. Thanks for bearing with us as the IT gurus pick through this problem.

UPDATE: The Book Cellar's email still isn't working properly as of 25 Feb 2026... bits work, but bits don't, so we're not sure what we're missing! While the technicians are sorting it out... for orders, invoices and other important matters, please contact us by phone or drop in to the bookshop.

The Book Cellar's online shop is back up after a technical issue. Much as we appreciated customers temporarily taking the low tech "just phone us" approach to ordering books - we are now equally happy for sales via either the phone or the online shop.
