⚠️ Comic enthusiasts assemble ⚠️

Comic Book Day has almost arrived, and we can't wait to see plenty of amazing characters at our vibrant pop culture celebration this weekend 🙌

Comic Book Day 2026 will be held on Saturday (2 May) from 10am to 3pm at Campbelltown Library, HJ Daley. There will be plenty of highlights, including free comic giveaways, an Artist Alley and Cosplay competition.

REMEMBERING THOSE DOWNES' DAYS! (Video Story)
For many locals who grew up around Campbelltown in the 1970s, the Downes Department Store on Queen Street was a place woven into everyday life. Those shared memories were recently celebrated with the unveiling of a historical photo display and two commemorative plaques recognising the site’s place in Campbelltown’s story.

When the Campbelltown City Library was officially opened at its new location last year, it added another chapter in the rich history of the Downes Plaza. On November 1, 1951, Rex Downes and his two brothers opened the first modern department store in Campbelltown along Queen Street, pictured above.....
