Today’s styling inspiration!

Today I started with one piece I love, my vibrant pink textured jumper, and built the whole outfit around it.

I styled it with my grey checked flared pants and added a crisp white shirt underneath for a little extra detail at the neckline and cuffs.

Black boots and my black crossbody bag finished the look.

My styling tip: Don’t be afraid to start with the piece you really want to wear and let the rest of your outfit follow. It could be a colourful jumper, a favourite pair of shoes, a statement bag or even a piece of jewellery.

Today’s look is all about layering with comfort and style. Winter dressing doesn’t have to be boring!

I’ve added a scarf for a pop of colour and personality, showing how one simple accessory can completely transform a casual outfit.

It’s all about working with what you already have, layering pieces you love and adding those little touches that make an outfit feel uniquely you.

“Antoinette, where do you buy your clothes from?”

I’m often asked this question, and honestly, my answer is: everywhere!

Today’s outfit is a perfect example of why I believe you don’t need to buy everything new to create a stylish outfit.

I started with my tartan skirt
It originally belonged to a friend who wore it in the 1980s. I’ve owned it since the 1990s, and I’m still finding new ways to style it!

Here’s where the rest of today’s outfit came from:

Boots: Midas – a recent purchase
Bag: Mimco – a gift from a friend
Jumper: Valleygirl
Necklace: Mimco – purchased in the mid-2000s
Coat: Preloved – purchased from Fashion Forward
And there you have it… an outfit made up of new, old, gifted and preloved pieces.
When you’re styling an outfit, it doesn’t all need to be new!

In fact, some of my favourite pieces have a history. They’ve been loved, worn, reinvented and styled in completely different ways over the years.

That’s what great personal style is about – not constantly buying more, but knowing how to work with what you already have.

Your wardrobe doesn’t need to be new to feel fresh. It just needs a little creativity!

All ready for tonight!
My outfit is all ready for this evening’s networking meeting with Penrith Blue Mountains Ladies in Business, where I’ll be speaking about The Power of Dressing.

I’ll be talking about how getting dressed is so much more than simply putting on clothes. It’s about confidence, colour, body shape, personal style and how we want to feel when we walk into a room.

I’m looking forward to an evening of connection, conversation and sharing the power of style with a wonderful group of women.

Today Kirsty Hilton and I had the pleasure of attending the Kids of Macarthur Women's Trust Luncheon.

The room looked absolutely spectacular. I was completely obsessed with the stunning fashion character centrepieces, they created such a beautiful atmosphere.

The guest speaker, Lisa Mcguigan whose journey was entertaining and inspiring, it was wonderful to hear her story.

One of the highlights of the day was watching Lisa Catanea create live fashion illustrations. I absolutely love my illustration and will treasure it.

Congratulations to the Kids of Macarthur Women's Trust on another beautiful event, bringing women together while supporting such an important cause.

The Power of Dressing isn't just about evening gowns or power suits, it's about what you wear every single day.

The clothes you choose each morning influence how you feel, your confidence, and the way you present yourself to the world.

These are two of my favourite casual winter layered looks. They're comfortable and practical.

You don't need a special event to dress with purpose. Every day is an opportunity to express who you are.
