WW2 1944 Australian Patriotic Badge - Monty - Field Marshal Bernard Montgomery -Montgomery was popular with Australian soldiers and public. He had grown up in Tasmania as a child. 1913 Commonwealth Fleet Visit to Sydney Medal - Its not often that you have a medal and then another one that commemorates it 100 year later. The original 1913 medal commemorated the visit of the Commonwealth Fleet to Sydney. The visit marked the start of the Australian Navy - the ships entered Sydney Heads in the following order - Australia, Melbourne, Encounter, Sydney, Warrego, Parramatta and the Yarra. The second item is in the form of a challenge coin for the 2013 International Fleet Review held in Sydney - it commemorates the first RAN fleet arrival and the design pays tribute to the original medal.
