This special family quilt was made for my brother to celebrate a significant birthday. It has now been gifted 👏🏻.
The finishing touch is the ‘speedway’ binding, a victory lap and nod to his passion for racing slot cars and always going ‘Way2Fast’

I decided to use a vintage wool blanket (as the batting) in ‘grandfathers shirt’ quilt.
Also, a vintage cotton sheet as underlayment to offer stability to the light weight cotton shirts.

🤞🏼so far so good.
