Did you know that plastic bottle lids shouldn’t go in your yellow recycling bin?
It’s something many of us don’t realise, but loose plastic lids are too small to be processed through most kerbside recycling systems and often end up as landfill.
That’s where Lids4Kids comes in. 💙
They’re an incredible volunteer-led organisation that collects plastic lids, keeps them out of landfill, and helps turn them into useful products while supporting community initiatives.

A big thank you to HerZest for hosting a wonderful networking event.

The highlight was hearing from guest speaker Yasmin Coe, who shared her business journey with honesty, passion and authenticity.

What resonated with me most was hearing about the challenges, pivots and decisions she's faced along the way. Building a business rarely follows a straight path, and Yasmin's story was a powerful reminder that persistence, resilience and staying true to your values can lead you exactly where you're meant to be.

As a small business owner myself, I always find it encouraging to hear from people who have navigated the uncertainty, trusted the process and built something truly special.

And of course, I couldn't leave without enjoying some of the delicious offerings from Murrumbateman Chocolate Co. The hot chocolate was incredible, and the handcrafted chocolates were equally delicious.
