🌷 Who else is excited?! 🌷

This weekend marks the opening of two of our favourite signs that spring has well and truly arrived in Canberra — Floriade and Tulip Top Gardens! 🌷☀️

There’s something pretty special about seeing Canberra burst into colour after a long winter, and we can’t wait to get out amongst the tulips again.

Of course, we’ve been getting into the spirit here at Star Squiggle Hash too, with plenty of colourful tulips popping up in the workshop. 🌷

August is Platypus Month!

Did you know Canberra and the Upper Murrumbidgee region are home to some of Australia's healthiest wild platypus populations?

Throughout August there are plenty of FREE activities happening around Canberra to celebrate these incredible and elusive little creatures, including:

Guided platypus walks
Family-friendly activities
Citizen science platypus surveys
Expert talks and presentations
Film screenings and waterbug displays

Whether you're a wildlife lover, keen photographer, or just looking for something different to do with the family, it's a great excuse to get outdoors and appreciate one of Australia's most unique native animals. Events are running at locations including Jerrabomberra Wetlands, Point Hut Crossing, Tidbinbilla, Namarag Nature Reserve, and other waterways across the ACT.
