Yes it's the Canowindra show today, and this is our favourite section in the Cobley Pavilion, the fruit and vegetable animals. Showing creativity and joy as always! Congrats to all the exhibitors, there's so much beautiful work in there.
It's a great day to visit Canowindra, there's still some beautiful golden canola around to enjoy in the way. Visit the show, have a walk down our historic main street and enjoy all that is on offer in this little town!

Huge thanks to the Veteran Car Club of Australia for including Canowindra in their destinations this week. The whole street was abuzz with the colour and joy of these classic vehicles. We love having old cars in Canowindra's historic main street!
Kudos to the owners for their commitment and hard work keeping these cars on the road. Kudos to Churchill, the grand canine car owner ♥️

What a joy to have this lovely U3A group from Shelllharbour visit this afternoon! So friendly, happy and good to talk to, and it was special to meet a former local, brother of our friend Dawn.
They got to enjoy 2 CLASSIC vehicles outside - more photos of the Merc and the Clipper on a later post, I'm sure .
We love having tour groups visit (and loved that their coach company gave us plenty of time to bake and staff up for it!) Sometimes groups have arranged for a talk about our nursery plants, our building, or our story, which is well worth planning the time for. Also worth planning a few hours to browse around Canowindra.

Wow that week went fast!!

It's definitely the time of year for a drive to Canowindra - the canola is SPECTACULAR with that shade of golden glory that has to be seen to be believed.

As usual, we have a range of delicious temptations, gourmet toasties, and hot and cold drinks in the cafe. The Emporium is a wonderful place to browse in, and the nursery has just been restocked with our range of rare, drought and frost tolerant garden plants, all propagated and grown in Canowindra.

After that, wander down the main street and enjoy all of the interesting shops and galleries. There's truly something for everyone in Canowindra. And don't forget our friends at the_potting_shed_canowindra, a short drive out George Russell Drive. Janelle has made a beautiful business out there, well worth the visit.
