If this weekend has taught me anything, it’s that you should take the chance to do the thing. It might even change your life.

But most of all … You don’t know if you don’t try. There are people watching who are inspired by what you do. Keep going.

Today I’m 45 and right on time to be doing what I’m meant to be doing.

What a weekend! The Bobtail received so much love and attention from the community and we couldn’t be more pleased.

A project of this scale is no easy feat and I couldn’t have done it with out the support of some incredible locals.

The cassinogallery and their incredible volunteers for their promotion, collaboration and connections.

The Gava Freight Company for the use of their truck to cover in crochet. Not many people would agree to let a stranger do something this left field.

My craft friends at Windara and Northern Rivers Crafternoon. By Contributing squares, helping to sew them together as well as general emotional support I couldn’t have done it without you.

So what’s next?

I’ve received suggestions to add some tassels for next year… should we do it again but add some more details???

I might need some sleep first.

We did it guys!!! I’m so proud of this installation. The Bobtail has been a crowd favourite from the moment we started installation.

I couldn’t have done it without the help of my Crochet friends and support from the local community.

Special thanks to the Gava Freight company for allowing us to Yarnbomb their truck.

The Bobtail 2026

What an epic achievement! I ran out of light installing today thanks to the many people who thought this was the coolest thing ever and stopped to have a chat.

This project is just as much about community and connection as it is about crochet so it’s ok that it’s not quite finished tonight. I made lots of people smile today.

If you’re around the Casino area I’ll be at the Cassino Art Gallery from 11am. -2pm if you want to stop by and say hello. I’ll be finishing it off tomorrow morning.
