Tonight on the news it was reported that somebody's $150,000 record collection was stolen in Castlemaine in September and that police had contacted all of the music dealers in the area.. if you Google records and Castlemaine, I'm at the top of the list and no cop has spoken to me. None of my record collecting friends have mentioned this to me over the last 4 months either.

Apparently they were stolen in September and today it is newsworthy. I had heard nothing about this before today. They listed a few things of value in the collection. $5000 for the first 2 ac/dc records is pretty far fetched and it would have to be a pretty special Emerson Lake and Palmer record to be valved at $650.

The whole thing sounds a bit odd to me. I'm not making any comments publicly on social media but to my 150 friends I will cos concerned people are asking me if they were mine and no they were not..

I forgot that I had the Mr vinyl Castlemaine page that you would have thought the cops would have been straight onto but no.

I don't want people coming to my stall thinking I have anything to do with this so if you know anybody who has heard the story...... thanks

I'm hoping to be up and trading on the third weekend of August .Wesley Hill market Castlemaine on Sat & Talbot market on Sun..

I continue to sell records at Stall 701 near front counter at the Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar opposite the botanical gardens... lots of $5 and $10 records on offer there. Stock is always turning over so next time you visit you should find something to buy.

If i find a VG copy of a desirable item i flip it cheap at the Bazaar... If it’s super clean it goes on the www.mrvinyl.com.au website at a higher price. These records were originally purchased to be played so finding EX condition copies of desirable items is becoming very difficult.
