I love the Tin Can Knits blanket pattern, Bounce — it's a lovely, easy knit that looks just as gorgeous in strong, vibrant colours as it does in soft, subtle neutrals.

The pattern is written for an 8 ply yarn, but really, any weight works. Just keep in mind that using a different yarn weight will change the finished size, I've shared my measurements and yarn quantities over on my blog post.

Esmeralda is our feisty, hot-tempered Queen of Green. She's a fabulous salsa dancer and a genius at whipping up a frock on the sewing machine.

A vibrant blue green shade that brings instant character to any project, whether you're seeking bold contrast or layering with complementary tones. Perfect for knitters who crave that pop of colour to brighten their work.

Esmeralda will work really well with super strong contrasts or keep it simple and add Esmeralda fluff - delish!!

Each skein is completely unique, with gentle shifts in tone that reveal themselves as you work.

If your order includes multiple skeins, they will be dyed together as a single dye-lot.

I’m adding French knots to the centre of the hollyhocks. This is a tiny embroidery so one or two knots is enough. I’m enjoying the very controlled palette - less choice makes for easy decisions.
I’ve been shredding boxes of paperwork and came across some old sketchbooks. I was really surprised to see the date at the bottom - 2010!! What? Where did those years go? I did have a chuckle at the drawings though, my style it seems has never evolved - should I be concerned?
Tbh, I’ve always loved flowers and watering cans and those pretty 1930’s colours so I suspect that won’t ever change.

To be green or not to be green...tell me your thoughts.
I love green but not all greens.
Not so crazy about dark blue greens but I adore a pure bright yellow green.
One thing I've observed is that there are often very strong views about green and yellow and it's usually a love or hate reaction.
Green is never a good seller but every time I have Midori and Esmeralda at a show, the green people make a beeline for it with love in their eyes.

A quick shoutout for and her gorgeous crochet shawl pattern, Julie's Garden, available on Ravelry. Jenny used Midori, Temaricious and Ink but you could easily use Viva Magenta instead of Temaricious.
