Colombian born designer based in Melbourne, Australia. With a background in Industrial Design, I mix industrial style with urban warmth using a variety of raw and organic materials. The results are unique and stylish pieces that are perfect for the home and gift giving. en contain natural and geometric patterns, landmarks and the natural beauty of the world around us. The beautiful products make the most of the natural resources available at the time, as well as recycled materials, so each piece is unique in finish and time. Juan Lizcano pieces are handcrafted and stylishly packaged, but some designs also incorporate technology, such as the laser machine to give a more refined finish.

Saying Hola to 2021 in a different way.
From memory, this was the first time I went to bed before midnight, woke up at 5 am, packed my fishing gear and went to the 90 Mile beach to welcome 2021 and enjoy the very first rays of a stunning sunrise☀️. If 2021 is like January's 1st sunrise, it is going to be a positive year full of good energy!!

In June, I completed my Masters of Teaching to become a Design Educator. After 15 years working with new and emerging technologies, like laser machines, I have now been able to combine my two passions- design and education! It has been a rewarding start to my journey as an educator, and also having a positive impact on students durent these challenging times.

About 4 years ago, Sarah and I went on a roadtrip to NSW, and ended up staying in Orange. We met Jon, owner of Badlands Brewery, and although he was closed for the day, Jon kindly gave us a private tour and explained the process of brewing his carefully crafted and full tasting beer!
A couple of months ago, Jon asked me to design a special 'BADASS' 4-beer display set to celebrate Badland's 10th anniversary.
