In 2018, Ben and I took a leap of faith and launched Flower Head. We had no idea just how wild, beautiful, and deeply rewarding this journey into the events world would turn out to be.
From navigating the roller coaster of COVID and endless wedding postponements, to packing the van before sunrise and traveling to every corner of Melbourne to bring our couples’ floral visions to life, it has been a complete labour of love.
We poured our hearts into every single installation, but looking back, the blooms were only half the magic. The real highlight has always been the people. We’ve been blessed to work with the sweetest couples, collaborate alongside talented florists and vendors, and build lifelong friendships along the way.
Life, however, has a way of shifting our perspective. After Ben suffered a stroke, our world changed overnight. It forced us to slow down, reflect on what matters most, and reimagine what our days look like moving forward. Because of this, the time has come for us to say a heartfelt goodbye to the fast paced events world.
This isn’t the end of Flower Head, just a change of pace!
We aren’t stepping away from flowers entirely. We’re simply scaling down to suit our new lifestyle, taking a well deserved breath, and shifting our focus to a slower, sweeter rhythm that allows us to prioritise health, family, and each other.
To everyone who trusted us with their big days, cheered us on through the madness, or lent a helping hand over the years: thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.
