While searching for something else we found a review of Melbourne suburban centres done over 20 years ago (including Chelsea). Chelsea was more like an inner suburb in how people got to the shops. In particular a lower percentage drove and a higher percentage walked. The analysis found that 30% of Chelsea shoppers walked to the shops - about the same as Lygon St and Sydney Rd in Brunswick. The Melbourne average, in contrast, for walking was about half that at 16%. Hi all!

This page has been dormant for quite some time with no one to run the back end. To be run well, it requires quite some time and effort on a voluntary basis so as you can imagine, there aren’t a lot of hands willing and able to take over such a role.

I was just wondering if the Chelsea community and businesses (and surrounding areas) would like to see this page back up and running?

If so, I will do my best to take over the admin on this page and get it back up and running! 😊
