The day I woke up and found out that Dolly Parton had left us, I knew we needed to create a Dolly tribute hat.

I have lots of dreams… but limited skills. 😂

Luckily, Neshka has come into my Green Duck life with exactly the skills to turn my crazy ideas into reality.

So I messaged her that day:
“We need a Dolly tribute hat.”
“Which one?”
I sent her the Akubra Rough Rider, a few thoughts and then left it with the magician — aka artist — to do her thing.

Fast forward to yesterday.

I mentioned I might like to wear it to a party that night.

At 4.30pm:

“Do you want to wear your Dolly hat tonight?”

YES. 😂

A complete outfit change, another trip to the shop and serious hair and makeup consultation from the younger generation. And then there it was.

A dream. A sketch. A collaboration… a Dolly hat.

With two very important words:

DREAM MORE.

Because maybe that’s the real Dolly legacy.

Dream more.
Be more ambitious.
Be brave enough to be unapologetically yourself.

And then find the people who can help you turn the dream into something real.

WE NEED ANOTHER DUCK 🦆

Green Duck is growing and we’re looking for the right person to join our little flock.

This could be perfect if your kids are teenagers or at uni, you’ve got a little more flexibility in your life and you’re looking for something fun, energetic and just for you.

We’re looking for someone with:

🧢 A genuine love of hats
⚡ Energy & passion
🔍 Great attention to detail
🔄 Flexibility
💚 A willingness to listen, learn & get stuck in

You’ll work approximately 10–15 hours per week across our Claremont store and pop-up events, including weekdays and some weekends. The role also includes receiving stock and helping with inventory.

Sales experience is definitely a bonus — but it’s not everything. We can teach you how to sell. We can’t teach you to love the product or bring the energy.
