Emprades Vintage & Design is a Shop based in Clarendon, South Australia. We specialise in Antique to Vintage Modern furniture, Decor, Jewellery and Art. Our range includes crystal, glassware, silverware, ceramics and pottery, fine china, Danish modern furniture & Antique furniture. We have a quaint coffee & tea room that offers home made cakes, biscuits and scones, excellent coffee and a range of pot brewed teas (no meals available).

Some old-fashioned country cottage romance.🏠💞

A lovely little French Oak chest of drawers featuring hand-painted tiles. So sweet and so practical! The tiled top allows you to place jugs/cups/vases etc. without fear of creating a water mark on the timber top.

Also featured here is a goose-neck wrought iron floor lamp (rewired and safety tagged) with pleated shade, and a charming early 20th Century German watercolour which has been re-framed.

Long, sleek, and simply beautiful. This is the latest restoration piece Pru has been working on. It has been carefully cleaned and freshly finished with Scandinavian oil to nourish the timber, and the results speak for themselves. The grain of the Brazilian Rosewood is absolutely remarkable—even the elegant legs boast striking patterns.

Did you know Brazilian Rosewood has been a protected timber for many years and can no longer be felled? This means pieces like this are truly finite; no more will ever be made, making this table a very special find.

Meet the gorgeous MH 195 2 leather sofa by Mogens Hansen. The thick, supple leather has developed the most beautiful patina, giving it that perfectly lived-in vintage character we all love.

When it comes to comfort, this piece truly delivers. Mogens Hansen utilized Nortex polydown inners, offering incredible softness and resilience for premium seating. We also absolutely love its generous proportions—at 1770mm long and 770mm deep, it falls perfectly between a standard two-seater and a three-seater, making it a brilliant size for a variety of spaces.

Getting wall sconces perfectly staged is always a bit of a challenge without screw fixing points in the walls! I’ve suspended these using our picture hanging lines, and while they don't sit completely flat, it gives you a wonderful idea of how these striking pieces will look once properly installed.

We currently have two pairs of these beautiful Danish wall sconces in stock:

Pair 1: Features elegant glass shades that perfectly echo the design of the teak globe mount, complete with shaped tops.

Pair 2: Sports its fantastic original shades on each sconce.

For your peace of mind, both pairs have been professionally rewired to Australian Standards and are ready to be installed by your local electrician.

We are thrilled to spotlight this gorgeous vintage stoneware vase by the highly regarded Danish artist Helle Allpass (1932-2000). Her monumental, sculptural pieces are incredibly sought after and prized by mid-century collectors worldwide.

Originally trained as an architect, Allpass was a true trailblazer in the Danish ceramics scene, known for pushing the boundaries of scale and form. While she occasionally dabbled in experimental glassware for Holmegaard, her legacy is firmly rooted in her groundbreaking pottery.

This substantial, hand-thrown vase features an exceptionally beautiful glaze that catches the light with a slightly metallic sheen. Standing an impressive 280mm tall with a wide mouth, it is absolutely ideal for displaying large, dramatic blooms like proteas or the banksias we love to style it with!

(Condition note: There is one minute, hard-to-find flake to the glaze on the rim. More detailed photos of this are available on our website).

Hand-crafted in the famous "Boda-Smide" foundry where some of Sweden's most prestigious glass artists collaborated with blacksmiths to create rustic, timeless pieces. Blown glass and hand forged metal give their items a warm, solid quality that can not be mass produced.

This tealight/candle chandelier is "Rondo" by Bertil Vallien - one of Sweden's most esteemed and famous glass artists. It is missing it's original suspension (which were rods rather than chain) but this weathered and sturdy vintage chain and forged hook suit its character beautifully.

Bev creates intricate and detailed pen drawings - each card is painstakingly detailed and unique, a true labour of love.

Anika uses vintage playing cards in her "Queen of Hearts" cards- each piece a one off slice of history that is sure to be received with joy.
