🔥☀️Getting ready for summer! ☀️🔥

We’ve been testing new ways to reduce the ambient temperature in our outdoor plant section and give our plants a little extra protection from those scorching summer days.

When plants are growing in small black pots, there’s only a limited amount of soil around their roots. On extremely hot days, those pots can heat up quickly and moisture can evaporate much faster, putting extra stress on the plants.

This is just an experiment for now, but we’re hoping to find even more ways to keep our plants cooler, happier and healthier through summer.

We’ll keep testing, tweaking and learning because if there’s one thing we know in Central Queensland, it’s that summer can bring the HEAT! 🥵

A little birds told me new seedlings are arriving today also 🤭

It certainly seems like we only enjoyed a measly five days of spring before the universe decided to fast track us straight into summer! 🥵☀️
