It is with mixed emotions and heavy hearts that we announce the upcoming closure of newsXpress Clunes.
After serving our community for the past
7 1/2years, we will be closing our doors at
4pm Friday 24th October.

We want to sincerely thank you for your support, loyalty, and friendship over the years. It has been our privilege to provide newspapers, magazines, lottery tickets, gifts, and everyday essentials to you and your families. Many of you have become more than customers—you have become friends, and we are deeply grateful.

While this chapter is ending, we look back with pride on the role we’ve played in our community and the wonderful connections we’ve made.

You have supported us through the good and bad times. From the attempted ATM robbery, and during the up and down years during covid, to celebrating 2 of our children’s weddings and now the upcoming arrival of our first grandchild. ❤️

There will be lots of changes during the coming 4 weeks, in regards to billing, paper deliveries and the closing down of the Bendigo Bank Agency and Tatts. We will update you with dates and changes with each step of the process.

Thank you once again for being part of our story. We wish you all the very best and hope our paths will cross again in the future.

Thanks to the person in this video with their unleashed dog around 7:40pm last night, who let it crap on the footpath, right in the path to our door, and left it there.

You really help the streets of Clunes.

Even though we are closing for renovations, there are still great banking options available to our customers.
* Oscar will be working from the Ballarat Central Branch (13 Doveton Street Sth) from Monday 16th June to Thurs 19th June. If you need his assistance during this time, please phone our branch number ph: 5345 1233 and ask for Oscar or just pop into Ballarat and see him.
* Our Clunes Agency and ATM at 49 Fraser Street Clunes will remain open.
* Our Lenders will come to you with your home lending queries.
* Nearby ATMs are located at 1302 Sturt Street Ballarat and 13 Doveton Street South Ballarat.

As some of you know, Craig & I are heading away on holidays this coming Wednesday ( April 2nd)
We have relief workers Darrin & Jeannine filling in for us.
If you pop past NewsXpress Clunes we have a leaflet with the trading hours whilst we are away.
The store hours won’t change, but there are
Public Holidays to take into consideration.
He will continue with paper deliveries, but please be kind if he mis throws one- he’ll be here in the dark, new store, new routine, new route.

The Bendigo Bank Agency will be closed from
Wednesday April 2nd and will reopen on Thursday
April 23rd.
The friendly staff at Community Bank Creswick & District will be available to help with any transactions or queries you may have.

Darrin has had a great fortnight selling tickets while he’s filling in for another couple- managed to sell a Divsion 1 then a division 2 a few days later
Fingers crossed he brings his magic hands with him to Clunes
