A handy Shapr3D feature I use all the time when designing RC construction equipment.

By simply hovering the Apple Pencil over a part, Shapr3D highlights it in the model before you select it. This makes it incredibly easy to find the exact component you want to edit, especially when working with large assemblies containing hundreds of parts.

Small features like this save a lot of time and make the design process much smoother.

Everything for my RC Caterpillar-style excavator build is designed in Shapr3D before being 3D printed and assembled.

From concept to prototype. 👌

Been working on a new drive sprocket and chain drive system for the RC Cat 390F excavator build.

Designed from scratch in Shapr3D, then brought to life on the 3D printer for testing and refinement before moving on to the next stage. The goal is a stronger, more reliable drive system with improved chain alignment and performance.

This prototype is already helping identify a few tweaks and improvements, which is exactly what the development process is all about.

Who else enjoys seeing the design evolve from CAD model to physical part? 🚜⚙️

Testing out the new drive sprocket design using drive chain and gear positioning to get everything running smoother and more reliable. Still plenty more to do, but it’s coming together nicely.
