Nightmare on Hansen was born from the street that the store will be operating out of - Hansen Street. As an avid horror fan, I noticed that there seemed to be a bit of a gap in the market in Australia. There are no bookstores that cater to horror and horror adjacent genres, so I figures, why not change that? We will be stocking a range of horror books as well as a small range of horror themed bookish merchandise.

Hello all!
We've had a few new followers over the past couple of months so I thought it was time to do another intro post.

We are Nightmare on Hansen. Australia's first dedicated indie horror bookstore. We are online only at the moment with the hopes to one day have a brick & mortar location. We ship Australia wide, and if you're International but still want to shop with us, just send us a message and we'll get you a postage quote. If you're local to Corryong and surrounds I'll also hand deliver your order so you can bypass the shipping.

We have a heavy focus on Indie authors, and offer signed titles when we can. The majority of our Australian titles are hand signed. We run the gamut of beginner horror right up to the extreme and all the subgenres in between. So whether you're new to the genre and wanting to dip your toes in, or a seasoned veteran, we're here to help.

If you're after something specific, send us a message and we'll do our best to help you out, whether it's a book rec or to see if we can get something in.
