One door closes, while another opens...
I'd like to start by apologising for taking a very long time to send this update! We have seen visitors to our page and are sorry for leaving our valued customers a little in the dark.
Kat and I started Mama Bear Foods in the start of this pandemic, early 2020. This was the same time I was commencing full time postgraduate studies. Our regular cook-ups served to feed our families and earn some pocket money whilst studying full time. Kat chose to leave to pursue other passions and I was very grateful for my long-term friend Jess to step up and essentially take over all the food prep for 2021! What a superstar! If you ordered anything at all last year, Jess was likely the master cook preparing your meal.
Now that I've graduated and transitioning back into the workforce, my time, passion and energy are no longer directed into Mama Bear Foods and as such we are closing our website, page and accounts.
HOWEVER - I did imply there is another door opening, and here it is.
Jess is an experienced in-home cook with the company I h8 cooking. Jess has clientele that she visits on either a regular basis or ad-hoc as required. Just as a cleaner visits your home to clean, Jess can visit your home to cook! She is a registered NDIS provider and can also provide cooking lessons. Some clients are regular, knowing they always have delicious home-cooked meals in their freezer at home, whilst others access the service only when needed. Perhaps if you're planning a camping trip or heading to Rotto, Jess can make your holiday a breeze by cooking your favourite dishes and vacuum sealing. Or you might want to help out someone with a new baby, living alone or struggling, she can portion some individual meals and leave the rest family sized in your freezer. It is a completely customisable experience, designed to feed your family what they want, when they need it. Jess can cater for special diets, allergy aware, keto, LCHF and more.
So if you would still like help with occasionally filling your freezer, then we suggest to visit the website (link in comments) to understand a little about how it works, available menus, pricing etc and then to ring Jess to discuss your needs on 0433 842 828. She keeps her availability for website bookings very low, but over the phone can generally find something to suit your needs. Mention you're a Mama Bear customer and she'll look after you, potentially with one of her famous chocolate brownies or some other tasty treat. Take note of her phone number, you never know when your family or someone you care about might appreciate this service.
With that, we would like to thank every single one of you who has ever purchased, shared, promoted or simply encouraged this little side hustle. We had fun and enjoyed it while it lasted.
