I’m not one to complain. In fact, I’m usually the person looking for the silver lining.
But I have to admit - it already feels like a long, hard winter for retail on the Island.
With Thompson St works continuing, Cowes is so much quieter than usual even for the off-season, and it’s also clear that a lot of people are doing it tough right now.
So if you’re able, please support your locally owned businesses. Every locally made purchase helps keep our little community vibrant and alive.
Small businesses aren’t just shops, they’re people pouring their hearts into something they love. And right now, they could use a little extra love back.
