🐟 Have you met our resident Murray Cod, Swim Dusty? 🐟

Swim Dusty calls The Fishing Shed Cowra home and is one of the first things visitors notice when they walk through the door!

At just 6 months old, Swim Dusty is still a youngster, but Murray Cod are one of Australia’s longest-living freshwater fish and can live for decades. We’re looking forward to watching him grow and sharing that journey with our customers over the years ahead.

Bred at the Narrabri Fish Farm, Swim Dusty lives in our educational display tank where anglers of all ages can get up close to one of Australia’s most iconic native fish.

Our display helps showcase the importance of Murray Cod, their habitat, and the role they play in our inland waterways. It’s a great opportunity for kids and adults alike to learn more about these incredible fish while visiting the store.

Whether you’re dropping in for bait, tackle, fishing advice, or just want to say hello to Swim Dusty, we’d love to see you.
