There was a time when we didn’t advertise at all.

Years ago, people would often ask us, “Do you need to advertise?”

We always said, “No.”

Ah well… maybe we were a little old-fashioned. 😆
We believed in word of mouth.

We never seemed to be short of customers, and sometimes we could barely keep the shelves full.

I still remember customers driving all the way from Queensland with an Esky, just to stock up on our lollies.

At Easter, we would have two cash registers running, with queues stretching all the way to the door.

No Facebook.
No social media.
No algorithms.
Definitely no AI. 😂

Just customers telling other customers, “Go there. They have good lollies.”

How times have changed.

Today, even we are learning to use social media, online stores — and yes, sometimes even AI images — just to keep up with the way the market communicates.

Do I miss the old days? Absolutely.

But I also know that if a business wants to survive, it has to change with the times.

What hasn’t changed is who we are.

We are not a new online business that appeared yesterday.

Our business has been here for more than 40 years. Since 1985.

The way we advertise may have changed.

The business behind it hasn’t. ❤️
