In 2007, three mates sat down for a coffee in Sydney and asked a simple question: could cycling raise money to cure cancer?
That question became Tour de Cure.
Since then, that idea has grown into something none of them could have imagined. Today, Tour de Cure raises funds through cycle tours, community walks, gala dinners, virtual events and school programs. They've raised over $158 million. Funded 231 major cancer breakthroughs. Backed 1,228 cancer research, support and prevention projects. And they show absolutely no signs of stopping.
At Inck, we've been honoured to be Tour de Cure's merchandise partner since those very early days — long before anyone knew how big this would become. Watching an idea grow into a national movement for cancer research has been one of the most rewarding journeys we've been part of as a business.
Right now, the 2026 Signature Tour is 20 days away. 210 riders. Canberra to Hobart. 1,400 kilometres. A $2 million fundraising goal.
But the rides and walks never really stop — and neither does the work.

Merchandise is only doing its job when people keep it. Every time they use it, it is a reminder of your brand. Every time they see it, you stay top of mind.

Last Sunday, thousands of runners passed right under our office as they made their way along William Street and through Kings Cross for the City2Surf.

Its one of those rare moments where Sydney comes together with heart and purpose. Over the years it has raised more than nine million dollars for causes from children’s health to mental wellbeing.

This year some brands did more than just show up. Adidas turned the finish line into a rewarding celebration. Peloton used warm ups to raise funds for Beyond Blue. Voltaren framed their presence around supporting movement and recovery. These activations worked because they felt part of the day. They connected with the energy and spirit of the event in ways that people noticed and enjoyed.

That is what makes these moments stick. When a brand’s presence feels relevant and adds something to the experience, it becomes part of the memory people take home.

Christmas in July just passed, but we’re still in the spirit. This project started with a festive brief and ended with a vest for your dog.

V Energy came to us looking for a product that would cut through during the cluttered Christmas retail period. The goal was not just visibility. They wanted something that would connect with their core audiences. Something that captured V’s energy and humour in a way that would genuinely resonate.

We came back with the Vestive Vest. A knitted Christmas vest made for the Australian summer. Sleeveless, noisy, and proudly ridiculous. It leaned into the ugly jumper trend in a way that felt fresh and local, and still like something people would want to wear. We also worked on a matching version for pets. Because if you are going to commit, you may as well go all in.

This is what branded merch should do. Not just stick a logo on a product. Create something that makes people stop, smile, and remember the brand behind it.
