Yes it is mens mental health month please understand we don't change much up during this month in our efforts or posts.
Every day is mens mental health/situational distress in this community and our efforts are EVERY DAY.

The list of issues in the mental health sector isn't anything to celebrate and the false narratives promoted are alot of the problem in male su***de.
This makes it hard to promote mental health awareness when we know its the mental health system that is failing our men.
Men often stay silent when in situational distress because of the mental health stigma created by these peak bodies! Making men and boys think they are mentally ill doesn't help them reach out when struggling with life it actually stops them!!!!!!
Telling men and boys to come and have a chat about life is how we get them to professional assistance 100%.

Shouldn't the su***de prevention agencies be the one's doing everything they can to promote mens mental health month. Shouldn't all funded services be the one's using the funds to promote this month? THEY DON'T AND THE QUESTION DURING THIS MONTH SHOULD BE WHY?

We hear from 100s of families a year that have lost sons,fathers and friends due to lack of care in the mental health sector and hospitals so for us its not much to celebrate.

Men and boys if you are struggling with a life situation we strongly encourage you see your gp and book some sessions with a counsellor to assist you through your life situation and talk to your friends when you think your heading down hill.
Please please do this.
Yet we don't celebrate mens mental health month out of respect to the families of the fallen who we fight for.

Almost every person is being diagnosed with something these days and that then becomes the problem,rather than the life issue that needs addressing.
YES MENTAL HEALTH IS REAL AND WE SHOULD NOT BE NEGLIGENT WITH OUR MH.
But to keep ourselves mentally fit we must focus on our lifes and what we can do to make our life easier to manage, councillors help immensely and we should encourage visits but we need to do this in a manner that FITS FOR MEN AND BOYS!!!!
