๐ A Heartfelt Goodbye to The Handmade Haven ๐
After two incredible years, The Handmade Haven on Knuckey Street will close its doors for the final time on Saturday, 29 August 2026.
This is one of the hardest announcements I have ever had to make.
The Handmade Haven was created to be more than a shop. It was a place where local artists, makers, authors and small businesses could be seen, supported and celebrated.
Every shelf held more than products. It held hours of work, brave ideas, late nights, family stories, dreams and pieces of someoneโs heart.
Together, we created a space that proudly said:
Made here. Made locally. Made with heart.
Over the past two years, we have watched artists make their first sale, small businesses grow in confidence and customers discover just how much creative talent exists here in the Territory.
There have been beautiful days, difficult days and moments when keeping the doors open felt almost impossible. Through it all, I have remained incredibly proud of what we created together.
Closing the shop does not erase what it achieved.
The Handmade Haven gave local creators a place to belong. It connected customers with handmade Territory products and helped build friendships and opportunities that will continue long after the doors close.
To every artist who trusted us with your work, every customer who walked through our doors, every person who shared a post, made a purchase or told a friend about us โ thank you.
You helped turn a little shop on Knuckey Street into something truly special.
We will continue trading until Saturday, 29 August 2026, and we would love for you to visit, support our artists and help us celebrate The Handmade Haven during its final weeks.
Walking away from this beautiful little shop will break my heart, but I will carry every memory, every conversation and every person who helped make it what it was.
The doors may be closing, but the love, creativity and community created inside them will always remain.
With all my love and gratitude,
Hannah
