One of the (arguably) most influential contemporary abstract artists makes a great point. And we got to thinking, what if we held an exhibition that blends these two "reals" together?

This exhibition is all about nature, depicted in the abstract. No matter what technique or medium you use - as long as the overall style is abstract, and your subject matter is nature. We're seeking 2D & 3D artworks that prove abstract art is beautiful, intriguing, thought provoking and varied!

Located in the historic Old Dayboro Butter Factory, we're a creative destination with a retail Artisan Store featuring handmade products from Brisbane-based artisans, along with 2 exhibition spaces catering to our rotating group exhibition program, as well as exhibitions from solo and small group artists.

Join us for “Watercolour: A Gentle Introduction”, a no pressure, small-group workshop designed to introduce you to the fascinating world of watercolour, through exploration and experimentation.

What an amazing two days with this wonderful group of first-time doll makers. ✨

From those very first tentative beginnings to seeing a whole collection of characters emerge, each with their own personality, story and little pieces of magic.

Doll making asks us to embrace the unknown… to try new techniques, solve problems, take creative risks and sometimes simply trust the process. And this group did exactly that!

I loved watching everyone rise to the challenges, experiment with new ideas and gradually bring their characters to life. No two dolls were alike — because no two imaginations are alike.

What they achieved in just two days was incredible. More than simply learning techniques, they created characters with stories waiting to be told. 💕🧵🪡

Thank you all for being so open, brave and willing to play. I hope this is just the beginning of your doll-making adventures. ✨
