Our friends over at Daylesford Community Op Shop have had a rough start to the year, with a seemingly normal donation infested with bed bugs. They are already thousands of dollar out of pocket for pest control, and have had to destroy thousands more in stock.

The future of the op shop is still unclear as costs keep adding up. Cash donations are very much appreciated and can be made to the op shop to help them reopen their doors, details for donations in the comments.

The future of a Victorian op shop is in doubt after a worker opened a bag containing the stuff of nightmares, leading to the destruction of stock and hefty cleaning bills that may prove to be a deadly financial blow.

An event not to be missed! 🎺

Save the date! Our annual community carols will be held on Monday December 22 at the Sound Shell in the Hepburn Springs Reserve at 7.30pm. Special guests include the HoneyTones Choir and the Daylesford & District Pipe and Drums. And we are expecting Santa to be there too!

Our market space at the Daylesford Masonic Lodge was very generously donated to us last year by the Freemason’s, meaning that we could pass on that extra money to the Daylesford Community Op Shop to spread the Christmas spirit to those in need last December.

We are very grateful for the use of the hall, and look forward to setting up the space again this year.
Thanks again Allan, we look forward to seeing the building full of Christmas cheer again this season.
