Obsessed with gum leaves? I understand completely - come down to Peppin Heritage Centre this Friday- Sunday where I’ll have mistletoe and gum leaves galore to exclaim and marvel over. You may even be tempted to start a nature journal yourself.

Looking forward to making pop pom wattle blossoms.

The wattles are in full flower. Come and enjoy the great outdoors while having a chat over a cuppa. There will be nature journalling and we will be looking at the how to use the iNaturalist app.

Down at Burchfield Lagoon intending to do w**ding, but got distracted. Embraced the chaos of dandelion leaves to sketch them. Purple swamp hens are rustling in the reeds nearby, it is a gorgeous spring day.
And now time to w**d :)

With thanks to Edward River Council , I will be bringing nature journaling to the Peppin Heritage Centre for three days, 18-19 September.

You can drop-in and be inspired by the nature tables to write, draw, ponder, or just chat about how amazing our natural world is.

Each day there will be a one hour workshop to get you started nature journaling; take time out from busy lives, quiet your mind, and create stronger connections to nature. It's a wonderful way to develop creativity - even for those who do not think they are creative. Bookings essential - follow link in bio to workshops.

There will also be an activity sheet, perfect for families or friends, to get outside and be curious about nature together.

I’m making wreaths to celebrate winter solstice which falls on the 21st June. They are deliberately loose and messy, reminding me of wilderness. I’ll update as I decorate.

Nature has the best patterns and designs. Duckw**d and Azolla, both native to Australia - not exotic w**ds as I always presumed.
