Then it was “one more cast”.
Then the tide was doing something.
Then the bait was too good to waste.
Then apparently you can’t just leave when they’ve finally started biting.

Happy Father’s Day to the dads who have never once accurately estimated how long they’ll be fishing. 🤣

Hope the fish are on, the coffee’s hot and nobody at home is actually timing you.

But if the bait’s rubbish...

you’re making life harder than it needs to be.

Fresh, good quality bait smells better, presents better on the hook and gives you a much better starting point when the fish are feeding.

Especially when you’re chasing snapper, whiting and the usual Port Phillip Bay suspects.

There are enough variables in fishing already.

Your bait doesn’t need to be one of them.
