Five years ago today, I got my “The Fool” tattoo, and now, five years later, the card feels just as relevant as ever.

In Tarot, The Fool is 0. Not the beginning, not quite the end, but the space where anything is possible. Zero represents potential: the blank page, the first step, the moment before the leap. The Fool is the one who stands at the edge of the cliff with their little bundle of belongings, looking towards the unknown. They don’t have all the answers. They don’t know exactly where the road will lead. They simply trust enough to take the first step.

And isn’t that what every new journey asks of us? The Fool doesn’t know exactly what lies ahead, they simply step into the unknown with curiosity, courage, and a willingness to see where the path takes them.

As winter comes to an end and spring arrives in the Southern Hemisphere, the world around us begins its own new beginning. The earth stirs, fowers emerge, new growth pushes through what has been dormant, the days grow longer, brighter and warmer.

Sometimes you just need to pack what you’ve learned, leave behind what no longer serves you, and take the leap. Because a new journey doesn’t require us to know exactly where we’re going, it simply asks that we take that first step. We can carry the lessons of winter with us without carrying everything that belonged to it.
We can leave space for curiosity.
For possibility.
For growth.
For a little bit of foolishness.

Five years on, this tattoo has become more than a Tarot card. It’s a reminder that I’ve started over, changed direction, taken chances, fallen flat on my face and somehow kept moving forward.

Spring is nature’s reminder that nothing stays still forever, and The Fool reminds us that we don’t need to have everything figured out before we begin. And perhaps that’s the magic of 0…there is always another beginning 🌱

As the wheel turns from winter into spring, I invite you to embrace the energy of 0- the beautiful, uncertain space where the next chapter hasn’t been written yet.

What a wonderful day at the Artisan Alley Makers Market! ☀️

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by, had a chat, browsed the goodies, and supported me today. It was an absolute pearla of a day weather-wise, and I was kept busy pretty much from start to finish, which I sense is a little taster of the silly season to come! 🌃🏖️🌷🌌

With Father’s Day, Halloween and (dare I mention it) Christmas just around the corner, now is the perfect time to make the most of the warmer weather, get out and about, and catch all your favourite small and local businesses, makers and creatives, all together, and all at once 👔🎃🎄

Shopping small makes a BIG difference, especially as we head into the busiest time of year, so again, thank you for continuing to show up, shopping local and supporting my little business. Next one is the Market Square Pavilion - Twilight Market, and I can’t wait to see you all there 🩵🤎
