I started collecting as a young kid, and a day like this Sunday would have been life changing for me! Meeting AFL players, visiting dozens of stalls with any kind of card you can imagine, prizes to win, vendors who see kids as the future of the hobby and look after you. The best thing is, kids don't pay to get in. If you've got kids who are interested in collecting this will be a fantastic family day out. So many cafes nearby, have breakfast, spend a few hours at a card show, then less than 50 metres away stop at a brewery for a pint on the way home.

This Sunday - Melbourne Card Fair - 2 Watt St Thornbury - 10.30am-3.30pm - and remember it's free entry for kids under 15. Kids can also enter the Pokemon colouring in competition to win great prizes.
