I am a long-time lover of dark chocolate and eventually felt compelled to share my passion with other chocoholics. It’s also an amazing place to learn the extent to which this delightful food has influenced cultures and cuisines around the world, particularly in association with health and wellbeing.

Did you know my first job after university was at the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum? I was only 20 years old, and that’s where I truly fell in love with rugs.
I started there as a researcher and later worked as a curator.

For me, rugs are not just something you place in a room. They hold history, culture, symbolism, memories, and soul. Since then, life has taken me across different industries and continents, but my love for rugs has always stayed with me.

So today felt very special. I was invited to the opening of a beautiful rare and antique rug store here in Melbourne

I’ve known the owner, Vahid, for almost a decade, and what I love most is that for him, rugs are not just business. They are passion, heritage, and family legacy. This is his second store in Melbourne. In fact, the very first rug I bought for my home in Australia was from him and I still remember how personally he helped me choose the right piece.

And I have to say, I’m not an easy customer when it comes to rugs. When you truly know and appreciate them, you don’t just buy something to fill a room. You notice every little detail — the history, the colours, the symbols, the quality, and the feeling the rug brings into your home.

What about you? How do you choose rugs for your home? Do you simply look at colours and design or do you also pay attention to the story, craftsmanship, symbolism, and the feeling a rug brings into your space? I am interested to hear from you.

Six years ago…when everything felt uncertain, one thing was certain — we all needed a little comfort.

So I created these little boxes of happiness to bring smiles, surprise people, and make those days a little sweeter 🍫

Time flies… Today marks 10 years since my very first Christmas Gift Fair that I organised in Melbourne.
My business was barely one year old, and it was a very brave move to host it in one of the most beautiful creative collaborative spaces on Toorak Road.

What started as a three-day exhibition became so successful that it was extended into a full week — and I was proudly showcasing my Enjoy Dark Chocolate creations. 🍫

Throwback to lockdown times in Melbourne.
When the world went quiet, and with my business on pause, I wanted to do something meaningful for Easter — so I surprised my neighbors with handmade organic dark chocolates.

I went door-to-door, surprising people with unexpected gifts. The reactions were unforgettable — surprised faces, big smiles, and that beautiful feeling of human connection during such an isolating time.❤️

During those hard days, chocolate became my way of bringing joy to people’s lives.
For me, chocolate was never just a product or a business. From the very beginning, it was a way to connect — to bring warmth, joy, and a sense of care to others. A way to say, “You’re seen. You’re thought of.” ❤️
And because it was made with clean, nourishing ingredients, it offered a moment of pleasure without guilt — a treat that nurtured both body and soul.

Even now, chocolate holds the same meaning in my heart — a symbol of comfort, care, and connection.

When was the last time someone surprised you with an unexpected gift or gesture — or you surprised someone?
Can you think of a moment that really touched you?
Please share it with me. Let’s spread some love — and remember how those little things made us feel.

🌍✨ March is truly special! ✨🌍

This year, even the universe is reminding us of unity. Five major festivals from different cultures and religions are happening this month—a rare moment that shows how connected we all are.

🎨 Holi (March 14) – The Festival of Colors, celebrating joy, love & the arrival of spring.
🌿 Nowruz (March 20) – That festival I talk about every year! It’s more than just a New Year—it’s a celebration of nature, balance, and renewal. The entire month of March is about embracing change, fresh beginnings, and the beauty of life. Rooted in Zoroastrian traditions, Nowruz reminds us to respect nature and welcome renewal in all forms.
🌙 Ramadan (Feb 28 - March 30) – A sacred time of fasting, reflection, and spiritual growth. Wishing all who observe a peaceful and blessed month filled with kindness and renewal.
🎭 Purim (March 13-14) – A joyful time of gratitude and togetherness.
⛪ Lent (Starting March 5) – A period of reflection and renewal leading up to Easter.
🧡 Harmony Day (March 21, Australia) – A day to celebrate diversity, respect, and inclusivity.

The more I talk with people from different backgrounds, the more I see how much we share. Our traditions may look different, but the message is always the same—love, renewal, and connection. The more we open up about our cultures, the more we realise how beautifully connected we all are.

If you truly follow your faith, there’s no place for hate. Real belief brings people together, not apart.

And when it comes to Harmony Day in Australia, I always say—it’s not about just one day. It’s not about bringing a dish to work and calling it diversity. Harmony is not a corporate checkbox. It should be a way of life, not just a date on the calendar.

I’ve been sharing this message year after year, but I myself have been a victim of hate. People often forget—especially on social media—that they are dealing with real humans. It’s easy to get carried away behind a screen, spreading negativity without thinking about the impact. But on the other side of those words, there’s a person with emotions, struggles, and a life of their own.

Some don’t realise that their hateful words could push someone already struggling to the edge. I didn’t let the attacks I endured turn me into a hateful person. But I know many who have, and that’s how the cycle continues—more hate, more division, more destruction.

When will it stop? How much more suffering do we need before we realise that hate only creates more pain?

This month is a reminder of unity, respect, and the beauty of diversity. Instead of blaming others, governments, or politics—let’s start the change within ourselves.

💛 Wishing everyone a meaningful and harmonious season, no matter what you celebrate! 💛

🍫 What Makes Real Chocolate Truly Special? 🍫

On the final day of an intensive course I’m completing, which focuses on laboratory diagnostics, health, and nutrition, someone in our group asked an interesting question. They shared a list of chocolate ingredients and asked: Does this chocolate fall into the category of healthy chocolate? The question came up because the packaging claimed the chocolate contained no white sugar at all.

I answered this question during the course, and I’m sharing my response here because I know many people aren’t fully aware of what real chocolate should consist of. Unfortunately, there is a lot of misleading marketing, and many products with cheaper ingredients are marketed as real chocolate. However, these products are better classified as chocolate-flavored desserts.

🛑 Real Chocolate vs. Shelf-Stable Alternatives
Real chocolate cannot be considered healthy if its shelf life is several months or even years. The chocolate discussed had a 12-month shelf life, which immediately raised questions about its composition.

Handcrafted chocolate, on the other hand, typically has a shelf life of just a few weeks 🍃 because it doesn’t contain preservatives, emulsifiers, or unnecessary additives. Its composition is based on just a few high-quality, natural ingredients, which makes it not only healthier but also better for maintaining a balanced diet.

⚠️ Key Ingredients That Raised Concerns:
The chocolate shared in the discussion contained several questionable ingredients, including:

Palm oil — A substitute for cocoa butter that compromises texture and health benefits.
Ethyl alcohol — Used as a preservative or flavoring but unnecessary in chocolate.
Sulfur dioxide (E220) — A preservative for dried fruits, which can trigger allergic reactions.
Isomaltooligosaccharide — An artificial sweetener added to reduce calorie content but lacking any health benefits.
Non-fat dry milk — A processed product that reduces both quality and nutritional value.
Additionally, the chocolate contained tocopherols and ascorbic acid, which are typically added to prevent oxidation in less stable ingredients like palm oil or dry milk—components that shouldn’t even be in real chocolate.

❓ Does “No White Sugar” Make It Healthy?
The absence of white sugar, as claimed on the packaging, does not necessarily make a product healthy. 🍬 A small amount of organic cane sugar in real chocolate is far better than the use of unnecessary additives and substitutes, which often diminish quality and flavor.

💰 Why Is Handcrafted Chocolate More Expensive?
True, handcrafted chocolate is made with premium natural ingredients, focusing on quality over quantity. This explains its higher price compared to mass-produced chocolates, which often prioritize cost efficiency over health or taste.

🎄 A Thought for the Holiday Season
As the holidays approach, many of us enjoy indulging in sweets. 🎁 This post isn’t about avoiding treats or giving up the joy of celebration, but about making informed choices. Choosing high-quality, real chocolate allows you to enjoy every bite while also prioritizing your well-being. ❤️😊

With Warmth and Chocolate,

I’ll never forget the days leading up to the Swift Fitness Health and Wellness Expo in 2015, the year I took my first brave steps into the chocolate business. I never intended to turn it into a business—I simply loved making healthy chocolates that I enjoyed and that made others happy. Seeing the smiles on people’s faces and knowing I was giving them an experience they wouldn’t forget was what drove me. It was never about the money; it was always about the connection. When people returned, not just for the chocolates but to share how they felt when they tasted them, that’s when I realized this could be something more. Those sleepless nights before the expo, especially the last one spent wrapping chocolates and perfecting everything, were all about creating something special—something that brought joy.

🍫Enjoy Dark Chocolate became more than just a product. It was my way of connecting with people, sharing moments of happiness, one small smile at a time.

But in 2020, my business was hit by something I never could have imagined—a cyber bullying attack, simply because of my nationality. People who had never met me, who had never even tried my chocolates, hid behind their screens and unleashed a torrent of hate. They sent cruel, even life-threatening messages. It’s hard to believe that something as sweet and simple as a chocolate business could attract such hatred, but it did. And this happened in Australia, a country that prides itself on being multicultural. Can you believe it? To make matters worse, years later, those same attackers admitted in court that they didn’t know me at all—they just didn’t like my nationality.

And all of this took place during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when so many of us were already fighting just to keep our businesses alive. These trolls, with all their free time, chose to tear people down instead of spreading kindness. I was left feeling broken, isolated, and vulnerable. Despite all the initiatives like Are You OK Day, Su***de Prevention Day, and other mental health awareness campaigns, when I needed help the most, none came. I was left to fight this battle on my own.

This is why I believe that both governments and social media platforms need to do more. It’s not enough to dedicate a single day to mental health or cyberbullying awareness. We need real, lasting change—both online and within our legal systems—to protect people and hold these platforms accountable. Awareness days are just lip service unless they lead to tangible action.

The impact of that attack still affects me to this day—both emotionally and financially. The legal battles that followed were exhausting and costly, but I’m proud that I stood up for myself and for others who have faced similar cruelty. On September 13, 2023, I received the first copies of my book, “Trolled: from Victim to Victor”, which tells my story of surviving bullying. It also includes a practical guide for anyone who might find themselves in the same situation. It’s been a long and difficult journey, and while I haven’t officially launched the book yet, it’s available for anyone who wants to support me—both in Australia through my website and worldwide on Amazon. I’m still in the process of healing, but I hope my story can help others who are going through similar struggles.

For me, this chocolate business was never about the money. You can make money in any business. For me, it was always about connection—about creating joy. Every time someone enjoyed one of my chocolates, it was a shared moment of happiness. And that, to me, is priceless.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.❤️

For the past few weeks, I’ve been actively sharing the incredible victories 🥇🥈🥉of our athletes at the Paris Olympics. But today, I want to focus on something equally important—what it means to be an Olympian.

Winners often dominate the headlines, their stories celebrated across all media. But behind every medal is a journey filled with determination, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication. This post is dedicated to every Olympian who made it to the Games.

Reaching the Olympics is a monumental achievement in itself. It’s the culmination of years, even decades, of hard work, perseverance, and resilience. The road to the Olympics isn’t easy—it demands a level of commitment and discipline that most people can hardly imagine. Athletes endure pain, push beyond their limits, and make countless personal sacrifices. They face injuries, setbacks, and moments of doubt, yet they keep going, driven by their passion for the sport and the dream of competing on the world’s biggest stage.

Becoming an Olympian means being among the best in the world. It’s a status that only a small percentage of athletes ever achieve. Whether they bring home a medal or not, every Olympian deserves to be celebrated. They embody the pinnacle of human effort and the spirit of competition.

Last night, I had the privilege of celebrating with the family of one such Olympian, Alexandra Kiroi-Bogatyreva, as she fulfilled her dream of becoming an Olympian. Watching her rhythmic gymnastics performances reminded me of the journey that brought her here.

I first met Alexandra’s family in 2018 when she was preparing for her first World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan. I was honored to sponsor the team with chocolates from Enjoy Dark Chocolate. At that time, I wrote a note to Alex saying, “With the magic power of my chocolate, fuel for success, I have no doubt you will make it to the Olympics.”

And here we are today—this dream has come true. Who knew a little dark chocolate 🍫 could do so much? I guess it really does have superpowers! 🙂

At 22, Alexandra Kiroi-Bogatyreva is an Australian Olympic rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games clubs champion, team silver medalist, and all-around bronze medalist. She also won two bronze medals at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and is a four-time Australian all-around champion.

As you can see, this success didn’t happen overnight. “It’s definitely a process of blood, sweat, and tears,” Alexandra said about the work and sacrifice it took to represent Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

For the past three years, Alexandra has trained hard at her base in Baku, Azerbaijan, which has become her second home. She fell in love with the country, its hospitality, and the excellent training conditions for gymnasts. As her mother shared in a recent interview: "When Sasha arrived in Baku, she saw the excellent conditions, the level of the Azerbaijani school of gymnastics, and the care given to the gymnasts. As a mother, my primary concern was my child’s safety. But we quickly realised there was nothing to worry about. We saw that real professionals were working here, who could help Alexandra progress, so we decided to stay longer. In Baku, my daughter prepared for the Commonwealth Games and other important competitions. Now, it turns out that Sasha is a product of Azerbaijani gymnastics, considering how much they have invested in her."

Yesterday, we all cheered for Alexandra, Australian Olympian. Her journey, and those of so many others, remind us that the Olympics are about more than just medals. They are about the stories, the struggles, and the triumphs of every athlete who has fought to get there.

Congratulations to everyone who made it to the Olympics.
