Introducing Something Blue, the gorgeous new collection from Tilda! Throughout the years Tilda creator Tone Finnanger has collected blue and white pottery in all shapes and sizes and just loves how the different patterns play off each other when grouped together, creating an energetic and familiar contrast to any room. What fun would it be to make quilts and pillows that create the same effect, or that depict pottery, and this was the inspiration behind Something Blue. This beautiful range features blue and white prints in light and dark colour stories, and a fantastic assortment of blenders including labels, ornaments and decorative stripes for applique. Something Blue will be available this June!

Hello All!
We were fortunate to have missed bad weather from cyclone Narelle and will resume business as usual tomorrow. The little bit of rain we did receive should help our winter vegetable seedlings grow.
As you can see from photos of recent customer purchases, we have a diverse range of fabric and yarn. With its silky hand and beautiful weight and drape, Liberty Tana Lawn is considered by experts to be the finest cotton lawn in the world. In spite of its fine weave Tana lawn is surprisingly strong, and is suitable for apparel, quilting and craft. (Not to be confused with the more affordable Lansenby, a Liberty quilting weight fabric that is also a lovely product).

My newly acquired gizmo and first make. Took me half an hour to make. This is an Addi circular knitting machine. Apparently flat knits can also be made. What a great way to use up scraps!

The Tilda Songbird fabric collection, designed by Tone Finnanger, is a romantic, Art Nouveau-inspired range that was released in February 2026. It features hand-drawn florals, birds, and butterflies in soft, dusty pastels (sage, blue, pink, mustard), ideal for quilts. Tilda is known for its whimsical designs and high-quality cotton.

Hello US Customers❤️

Just a note to remind our US customers that we are still not shipping to the US because of the complexities and additional expenses involved in meeting Mr Trump’s ‘country of origin’ tariffs. If I don’t know where a particular fabric was initially woven, (and in most cases I have no idea), I can’t complete the required documentation. The tariffs can increase the price of fabrics 35% - 150%. I’d also have to rebuild my website just to add the tariffs onto the prices for my US customers. It is not financially viable for me to do this, and given Mr Trump’s tendency to change his mind overnight, everything I had my website set up for would most likely change.

So I apologise to my beautiful, long-term customers in the US, some of whom have been customers since 2007.

If/when the present tariff system is modified to make it easier for me to ship to the US again, I will let you know!
