Caution: Highly Contagious. Bookseller Hayley has been inflicted with the creativity bug. This vintage hardcover book was repurposed and folded into a vase. Hayley has arranged artificial flowers amongst the pages to create this brilliant book decor.

For those worried about the fate of this particular book, it has lived a life over the past 33 years and been read many times. It isnt able to be sold again in the traditional sense. We have plenty of books at a similar stage in their life cycle, unable to be sold for various reasons. They can have another life and be repurposed for those who think outside the box.

Mark your calendars! Love Your Bookshop Day 2026 is Saturday 10 October.

We’re excited to officially launch this year’s campaign and reveal our 2026 theme: Ask a bookseller. Shake up your shelf.

This year, we’re celebrating the important role booksellers play in helping readers discover new books, new authors and unexpected favourites. Whether you’re looking to shake up your usual reading, get back into books or simply don’t know what to read next, ask a bookseller.

This year’s artwork is by illustrator Bill Hope, whose wonderful illustrations capture the joy of finding your next great read and, in his words, “show booksellers as a tour guide to your next literary adventure”.

On 10 October, bookshops across Australia will be celebrating Love Your Bookshop Day in all sorts of wonderful ways. It’s an invitation to visit your local bookshop, connect with a bookseller and ask them to recommend something you might not have picked up yourself.

For now, save the date, follow along and get ready to shake up your shelf.

It's Official: Our first bookbinding project has been completed.

One of our most long-term customers entrusted us with a book of great personal significance.

We worked on the specifications together. Dark brown satin cloth bound hardcover, cream end papers to match the age of the book, all acid-free materials for longevity, and some very minor conservation work to stabilise some loose pages.

I will be reaching out within the next week to others who have put their name down for bookbinding services. Please give us a call or send an email or message if you are wanting bookbinding services.
