Are a local, volunteer-run, not for profit Community Thrift Shop which opened on 1st May 2026. We offer affordable pre-loved goods.

We focus on reducing waste, keeping items out of landfill and giving back to Dunolly by supporting local initiatives.

🛍️ The $5 Bag Sale continues this week! 👖👚👗

It’s been VERY popular, and we’re continually restocking the racks as they empty.

We’ve also discovered some of you have serious talent when it comes to fitting clothes and shoes into one bag.

$5 a bag. We provide the bag. You provide the packing skills!

🧸 There are a few new faces keeping watch over Broadway this weekend…

We’re closed until Tuesday, but the window has had a freshen-up with some lovely new arrivals.

The soft-toy crew seem to have formed their own little adoption line. They’re certainly putting on their best please take me home faces. 😂

If something catches your eye, pop in and see us when we open Tuesday. We keep our page for shop news and updates rather than sales or holds, so everyone gets a fair chance when we’re open.

And don’t delay. Our toys have a habit of finding new homes pretty quickly!

🔩🔩WORK BENCH SOLD 11/9 Just after opening. 🔨🔨

There’s a special kind of optimism that comes with receiving a donated toy in pieces and no instructions. “This can’t be that hard.” 🧐

Several mystery parts, plenty of head scratching and a few questionable assembly decisions later… we have a workbench! 🔧

And apparently it all packs back into a carry case, as shown in the picture below. We’re not testing that theory just yet. 😆

We also have a separate kids’ tool set with hard hat, drill, hammer, saw and other tools, so there’s another option if the workbench disappears quickly. 🔨👷‍♂️🛠️

Both available tomorrow morning when we open. We had so much interest in our last lot of toys and they went very quickly.

A little reminder that we have $15 and $20 gift vouchers available at the shop.

Perfect for birthdays, thank-yous, little surprises, or for that person who is very particular about choosing their own treasures. 😁

Our vouchers are laminated, so once they’re used, they come back to us and get reused. ♻️

If you’ve been peeking in our window over the weekend or today, you may have spotted some new arrivals in the toy department 👀

They’ll all be available when we open tomorrow, and with the school holidays approaching, there might be something here to keep the kids busy!

Ready for its next little vet.

The racks are being topped up as things sell, so if you had a rummage last week, there’s a perfectly good excuse to have another on.

The Dunolly Daily News has arrived at the Thrift Shop! 📰 The first edition has already been very popular today!

Put together by Kath from the Dunolly & District Neighbourhood Centre and Kath from RTC Dunolly (AKA upper and lower Kath). It’s a great way to keep up with what’s happening around town.

You’ll find copies right on our front counter for a gold coin donation.

Pop in, grab your copy and have a quick browse while you’re here. You never know what you might find!

It’s been a little while since we’ve posted here on the shop page, so here’s a little Sunday night find ready for when we reopen Tuesday.

The Classic Australian Movie Collection

17 DeAgostini magazines featuring some great Australian films, including The Man from Snowy River, Muriel’s Wedding, Phar Lap and Jindabyne.

Magazines only, no DVDs.

We’re closed Monday and back Tuesday from 9am.

Meet Koko. 🐾

If you’ve visited the Dunolly Community Thrift Shop recently, you’ve probably noticed Koko sitting proudly on our front counter.

One of our volunteers, Dot, is passionate about preserving Koko’s story and letting people know that this legendary Australian dog was born and bred in Dunolly by Carol and Len Hobday.

The display beside Koko tells the story of how a dog from our small Goldfields town went on to become one of Australia’s most recognised dogs. It also acknowledges the wonderful artwork by local artist, Cuzz (Cuzzs Studio) whose tribute to Koko can be seen on a Dunolly power pole.

Dot also coordinates the Koko plush toy project. Each plush is $30, with a percentage from every one sold donated to working dog rescue charities.

The Koko plush toy and the artwork are inspired by Koko, the legendary dog from Dunolly, and have been independently created. They are not affiliated with or endorsed by any film production company.

Koko is on display at both the Dunolly Community Thrift Shop and the Railway Hotel Dunolly. If you’d like to arrange your own Koko plush, please contact Dot on 0487 272 060.

Every Koko has a story. We hope you’ll stop by and discover it.
