Wishing all the dads, stepdads, grandads, father figures and all those who fill that special role in someone’s life a very happy Father’s Day 💙

And today, I’d especially like to thank my own Dad.

I’m incredibly grateful to have someone who has always supported my dreams, even when those dreams involve bringing home an absolutely unreasonable number of plants 🤭

He’s also been called upon to put his engineering skills to the ultimate test with my IKEA-level greenhouse… which arrived in approximately 1,000 different pieces and somehow still managed to become an actual greenhouse 😂

Thank you for always supporting me, helping me turn my slightly chaotic ideas into reality, and being there when I need you.

I love you and appreciate you more than I probably say (at least without teasing you first) 🤍

There’s something about these first little hints of spring 🥹🌿

A bit more sunshine, brighter colours, warmer days… and suddenly everything feels a little lighter.

We’ve had a beautiful taste of it this week, even if the rain coming next week is here to remind us that spring isn’t quite ready to commit yet 🤭

Not that I’m complaining. I’ll take every little glimpse I can get ☀️🤍

A calathea that doesn’t immediately make you question your plant parenting skills? 👀🤭🌿

This beautiful girl has been with us for a little while and is just starting to wake up for some spring growth.

She’s been wonderfully well behaved (a rare and precious quality in a calathea 😂) and is looking very ready to head off to her forever home.

Give her bright, indirect light and a little love, and she should be very happy indeed 🥰

Back in the shop! 🥰🤍

I’m home, rested, and very slowly remembering how to be a shopkeeper again 🤭

It was such a beautiful few days away celebrating Mum’s 60th, and I’m feeling very grateful for the time we got to spend together.

So if I seem to still be operating in holiday mode for the next day or two… no you didn’t 🫣😂

It feels good to be back amongst all my lovely things, though 🌿🤍

I’m in the shop today from 10–3, and then I’m taking a few days away with Mum for her very special 60th birthday! 🥳🤭

Kindness Society will be closed Thursday–Saturday (27th–29th August) while we celebrate and enjoy some family time 🤍

If you need anything before then, today is your last chance to pop in—or send me a message and we’ll see what we can arrange 🥰

Online orders will still be open while I’m away, but I’ll pack and send everything when I’m home again 🌿

Rainy days call for a little extra company 🌧️🤍

Bentley is back in the shop today and very excited to resume his duties as Shop Assistant 🤭🐾

It’s been a while since he’s had a shop day with me, so he’s currently making up for lost time with lots of supervising, welcoming and generally being very handsome.

Okay, I may have a little problem with this one… 🤭

This beautiful Amalfi Walter armchair has arrived in the most gorgeous rusty plum, and I’m genuinely tempted to take it home myself.

It’s supportive, beautifully comfortable and has a removable back cushion, but honestly? It’s the colour that got me 🥹🤎

A proper statement chair for a cosy reading corner, bedroom or favourite spot in the living room.

A little notice about next week… and a very special reason 🥹🤍

Kindness Society will be closed Thursday 27th – Saturday 29th August because my beautiful Mum is turning 60! (50 + 10 🤭)

If you’ve been into the shop, you’ll know just how lovely Mum is. She’s become such a familiar and beloved face around here, and what she wants for her birthday is actually very simple: some time away with Dad and me 🤍

And honestly? She deserves it.

It’ll also be my first interstate holiday in four years — since opening Kindness Society! 🫣 So we’re taking a few days to celebrate, spend some time together and make some memories outside the shop.

If you’re needing gifts before we close and can’t make it in during our Tuesday or Wednesday hours (10–3), just send me a message. We can arrange a private shopping time that works for you 🥰
